Melissa Carson
Executive Branch Director - Aurora
Melissa Carson received her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in social work. She joined Bethany as the Colorado Branch Director in 2018. Melissa has worked in the areas of public child welfare, foster care and adoption, children’s mental health, and victim advocacy since 1989. Melissa has a passion for community service and supporting families in crisis. She has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Colorado Child and Adolescent Mental Health Coalition and the Sara Brown Memorial Fund Foundation. In addition, she has served as a volunteer for the Red Cross Colorado and the Aurora Police Department. Melissa was awarded a Best Practice Award from the Colorado Department of Human Services in 2010 for her work in helping lead and implement innovative practices in child welfare. Melissa is passionate about quality service and has a black belt in Lean process improvement. Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time with her family and pets, hiking, knitting, reading and learning to play the cello.
Joanne Hodapp
Administrative Coordinator - Aurora
Joanne Hodapp received her certification in medical transcription. She is passionate about helping staff, donors, and clients alike in whatever they may need—whether it be connecting clients with staff who can get them started with one of our programs or assisting staff or donors with questions. Joanne has been with Bethany since 2003 and is passionate about its mission to bring and keep families together. She enjoys swimming, walking with her dogs, and various sewing crafts. She also loves spending time with family and friends.
Megann St. John
Foster Care Home Supervisor - Aurora
Megann St. John received her master’s degree in counseling and has worked with children and families since 1999—in several settings such as outpatient, with foster children, and in several treatment centers. Megann managed two adolescent treatment centers before coming to Bethany. She now supervises Bethany’s group home for adolescent girls, and as the climate of foster care changes, she is also taking on supervision of several foster homes. In her free time, Megann likes to hike, spend time with her dog, cook, entertain her friends, and listen to live music.
Taryn Lind
Certification Specialist - Aurora
Taryn Lind received her bachelor’s degree in psychology. Before joining the Bethany team, she worked in the foster care system. In her role as certification specialist, Taryn shares information with potential foster parents about foster care and foster care adoption and guides them through the paperwork and training needed to become licensed. She loves getting to know families and helping them through the exciting and sometimes complex process of fostering. Outside of Bethany, Taryn spends her time with her husband’s youth ministry, painting, baking, or watching football. She is also known to be drinking coffee most of the day and spending time with her Labrador/Great Dane mix.
Tracy Naviaux
Home Study Writer - Aurora
Tracy has been working for Bethany Christian Services since 2014. She is a home study writer trained in the SAFE home study format. Tracy has written over 300 home studies and looks forward to making your home study an enjoyable experience. Tracy was born in Texas but moved to Denver in 1982. She has been married 25 years and has a son in college. When not working, Tracy enjoys spending time with her family, or cooking, reading, hanging out with her friends, and playing with her two Boxer dogs.
Cami Haussler
Foster Care Program Manager - Aurora
Cami Haussler received her bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies. As an adoptive and former foster parent, Cami is passionate about providing foster families with a strong support system, which enables them to care for God’s most vulnerable children. She believes families who care for children who are struggling truly are the hands and feet of Jesus. Along with overseeing the foster care program in Colorado and Denver, she manages the home supervisors who provide direct support to foster families. Cami enjoys spending time with her family—traveling to places far away or enjoying the many local Colorado adventures—hiking with the dogs, running on nearby trails, or dining at local restaurants.
