EmpowerED Youth is a peer-driven program of Bethany Christian Services of Georgia serving youth ages 12–18 in Troup and Meriwether counties. The program focuses on prevention and awareness of behavioral health and substance use concerns, creating space for honest conversations.

Join us for an introductory session designed to help you understand the heart of foster care, covering who the children in foster care are, what foster parents look like, and what it truly means to care for a child who has experienced hard things. You’ll gain a clearer picture of the journey ahead and the support available to you every step of the way.

In this course, you’ll explore the seven core skills of trauma‑informed care and learn practical, everyday strategies that create safety, reduce overwhelming behaviors, strengthen relationships, and build resilience. You’ll also gain tools to support your own well‑being, because caring for children from hard places begins with caring for yourself. This training will begin to build the confidence, clarity, and compassion you need to nurture healing in the children who enter your home.
