Bethany Christian Services of Florida was founded in 2000 and serves families and children through several programs. Local services include Safe Families for Children, Home Builders, Home Study Post-Release Services that serve unaccompanied minors, and refugee resettlement. All proceeds from this event will assist Bethany Christian Services of Florida's programs.


Meet Your MC: Emmy Award-Winning Anchor Luana Muñoz

Munoz is a bilingual journalist working as a weekend news anchor and reporter at WESH 2 News in Orlando, Florida. She started working at the station in September 2021. Before joining the station, she worked as a morning news anchor at KTBS Channel 3 in Shreve from February 2018 to August 2021. While working at the station, Munoz earned two Emmy Awards, one for a human-interest story dealing with race relations and forgiveness and another for news coverage in Juarez, Mexico. She was also nominated for an Emmy Award after covering the story of women in the political arena in Louisiana. Before that, she worked at Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia, as a multi-media/ public relations specialist from August 2016 to February 2018.


Before that, Munoz worked as a co-host at WAVY-TV 10 in Hampton Roads, Virginia, from May 2015 to May 2016. Before that, she worked at FOX40 News in Sacramento, California, as a reporter and fill-in-anchor from June 2012 to January 2015. While working there, she covered breaking news, special reports, investigative news, and exclusives. Before that, Munoz worked as a reporter intern at the City of Torrance in Torrance, California 2008. 2007, she also interned at KTLA in Los Angeles and CNN in Washington D.C. In today’s political climate, Munoz sees it as an opportunity for journalists to do what they do best: look for the truth and report the news in a balanced, fair, and accurate manner.


Born and raised in the United States, Munoz, of Afro-Cuban and Afro-Puerto Rican descent, manages to keep information regarding her parents and whether she has siblings away from the limelight. An update of her family information will be made available when it is available.


Munoz is happily married to Larry L. Wright Jr., and they have been together for three years as of 2024. The couple tied the knot on September 12th, 2021, after getting engaged on January 1st, 2021. Together, they have been blessed with one son, Larry L. Wright. III, who was born in April 2023.
