We’re getting stronger together

Escaping domestic violence meant homelessness for Ashley and her daughter, but leaving was a risk she had to take. Child Protective Services referred Ashley to Homebuilders at Bethany to help her get back on her feet. Ashley was a young mom without a support network, starting over in a new community. Both she and her daughter carried deep wounds from the violence at home, yet Ashley still needed to be strong for her daughter who returned from foster care with an additional layer of separation anxiety. Homebuilders gave Ashley four weeks of intensive, in-home services with an experienced Homebuilders specialist. This critical support in a tender time assured Ashley that she wasn’t alone and gave her the confidence and skills to keep her daughter safe.
