After Thalia aged out of foster care, she was determined to go to college, to build the life she’d always dreamed of. When she found out she was pregnant, she worried her dream would fall out of reach.
She struggled as a single parent, working and going to school—life is hard when you’re doing it alone. And when her son was 3 years old, the two became homeless. But, through the generosity of donors and supporters, her son didn’t have to enter foster care.
