Matt and Sam had never parented before when they began thinking about becoming foster parents. Like most people weighing this decision, they had common questions, fears, and doubts. They were “considering but not sure.”

In this video, they share more about their process—from prayer and seeking counsel to attending a Bethany information meeting to get answers to their questions. And when they were ready, they said yes to loving children and their families, realizing they didn’t have to be perfect to help.

“You don’t have to wait until you have it all together,” Sam said. “You don’t have to have all the answers. Kids don’t want perfection … they just want to know they’re not alone.”
