Bethany Christian Services to Partner with Sidewalk Prophets for “Great Big Family Christmas Livestream” Tour

November 19, 2020

Bethany Christian Services today announces a new partnership with Curb | Word Entertainment’s Sidewalk Prophets this Christmas season. Every year, the band Sidewalk Prophets do a holiday trek; this year, however, they are presenting a festive virtual “outing” entitled “Great Big Family Christmas Livestream,” which will air across eight different dates and four different time zones this December.

“This Christmas season will be unlike any other amid the pandemic, but there are still so many ways to find joy, hope, and peace this season,” said Chris Palusky, President & CEO of Bethany Christian Services. “At Bethany, we’re inspired by Sidewalk Prophets and excited to partner with them on this family-oriented event. We know that family changes everything, so when we heard about the 'Great Big Family Christmas Livestream,’ we couldn't wait to get involved. We're incredibly grateful to Sidewalk Prophets for partnering with us at Bethany to demonstrate the love and compassion of Jesus to vulnerable children and families around the world."

Sidewalk Prophets front man Dave Frey adds, “We are so thankful for Bethany Christian Services and the work they do on behalf of families around the world. It’s an honor to have their support for this special livestream and to be working together to promote something we believe in deeply – family.”

The “Great Big Family Christmas Livestream” events will occur December 9 through December 19, 2020 at 7:00pm in various time zones (Eastern, Central, Mountain and Pacific). The band will broadcast live from Nashville, playing seasonal favorites as well as top hits and new songs. Tickets, which are “Pay What You Can”, are available at SidewalkProphets.com.

During the livestream, fans will have the opportunity to learn about Bethany’s global programs. 140 million children around the world don’t have permanent homes. Bethany is committed to helping children thrive through the love and support only a family can provide, finding a foster or adoptive family for them in their own country. Even more, Bethany helps families who are struggling to stay together because of poverty and its side effects by providing the resources and training they need to lead their family to self-sufficiency.

Sidewalk Prophets has been a mainstay of Christian radio for years, amassing more than 204 million career on-demand streams and selling more than 1.86 million digital tracks. The award-winning band has had five Number 1 songs and nine Top Five radio singles. The band originally formed at Anderson University in Indiana and is signed with Curb | World Entertainment. They’ve played for more than 2.5 million fans, affectionately called “The Great Big Family.”

Every “Great Big Family Christmas Livestream” ticket purchased before November 27 will automatically enter attendees in a giveaway as well as grant access to a virtual Christmas devotional with the band.

About Bethany
Bethany is an international Christian nonprofit that is changing the world through family. 75 years ago, we began our work by serving one child.
