Those seeking asylum in the United States are often escaping dangerous and deadly situations. “The recent Executive Order fails to provide long term solutions that includes pathways to citizenship, increased resources for asylum processing, and protections for vulnerable populations,” said Dr. Tawnya Brown, Senior Vice President of Operational Strategy & Global, Refugee, and Immigrant Services. “We ask that Congress continue to work on passing comprehensive immigration reform that protects individuals and families lawfully seeking asylum in our nation.”
