HOLLAND, Mich., September 26, 2017 – Bethany Christian Services, a global nonprofit committed to bringing and keeping families together, has merged its two Holland-based offices into one central location to improve client service in the area. The organization will host an open house to celebrate the new office on Thursday, Sept. 28 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 11335 James St. Holland, MI 49424.

The agency’s Holland offices recently transitioned into a remodeled, united office. The single location will continue to offer foster care, adoption and pregnancy counseling services to West Michigan families. The office, which officially opened on August 18, has already received positive feedback from the community.

“For over 10 years, we have had staff split into two different service locations, so the idea of a ‘one-stop shop’ is extremely exciting for us,” said Meredith Smillie, branch director for Bethany’s Holland office. “We are glad to have all 70 employees under one roof, and we hope the new office will allow the agency to grow and provide the total client experience that Bethany is known for.”

Bethany’s new Holland office features a visitation center, playground, training room and therapy suite. These spacious additions will provide a welcoming and confidential space to help families interested in adoption, foster care or pregnancy counseling feel completely comfortable. Half of the furniture within the new office was donated by Hayworth, while the Henderson family of NetRivet donated the playground.

“We appreciate the support Bethany continues to receive from the Holland community, including the generous donations by Hayworth and the Henderson family,” Smillie continued. “This support is essential to helping vulnerable children find their forever families.”
