Bethany Christian Services hires site director in Columbus

–Bethany Christian Services, a global nonprofit committed to bringing and keeping families together, has announced Alicia McGee as the new site director for the organization’s Columbus branch. In this role, McGee will be responsible for helping to facilitate the branch’s adoption and pregnancy counseling services.

Bethany Christian Services has been actively serving the Columbus community through adoption services and pregnancy counseling since 1993. Prior to working with Bethany, McGee was employed at Palmer Home for Children as a case manager, serving her last years with the organization as director of social services. She has a strong background in clinical counseling and case management and has worked in foster care and child protective services for the Pickens County, Alabama Department of Human Resources.

“I look forward to using my past experiences to continue to provide Columbus residents with the level of service they’ve come to expect from Bethany,” said McGee. “We hope through our services we can continue to spread the word so more vulnerable children can find their forever home.”

To thank local families dedicated to supporting children in crisis, the Columbus branch will host a banquet on Monday, September 18, at the Trotter Convention Center at 402 2nd Ave. N., Columbus, MS 39701. The event will begin at 6 p.m. with a silent auction followed by dinner and an inspirational story from a parent of four adopted children.
