Donna Pihl
Assistant Branch Director - Lincoln
Donna re-joined Bethany Christian Services in 2021 as the Assistant Branch Director. Donna was previously the supervisor for the Safe Families for Children program. Donna is a Licensed Mental Health Clinician who earned her bachelor’s degree at Gordon College and her Master’s degree at Bridgewater State University. Donna has fifteen years of experience in behavioral healthcare working with children and families. She is passionate about family strengthening and preservation programs.
Tim Kelley
Regional Program Supervisor - Marlborough
Tim oversees both post-release and home study services in Massachusetts. He has a bachelor’s from Stonehill College and master’s in counseling psychology from Assumption College. Tim has valuable experience from almost three decades working in the foster care industry of which 19 years are in management.
Sarah Groux
HS/PRS Case Manager - Marlborough
Sarah previously worked at an ORR-funded shelter for unaccompanied children first as a bilingual youth care worker and then as a reunification case manager. She values the importance of human rights and equality for the clients Bethany serves and the immigrant population as a whole. Sarah is most passionate about helping released children and families find accessible legal service providers and one day hopes to become an immigration lawyer. She has a BA in political science from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.
Neyda Gonzalez
HS/PRS Case Support Worker - Marlborough
Neyda had the privilege of beginning her career by working in refugee resettlement and refugee services. She’s passionate about partnering and supporting young adolescents and their families as they transition together into a new life in the U.S. Neyda is bilingual and earned her bachelor’s in social work at Simmons University.
Ana Echenique
PRS Intake and Quality Assurance Coordinator - Marlborough
Ana joined Bethany Christian Services in 2021. She previously worked in the communications arena for 7 years. Ana has lived in 4 countries and one of her passions is storytelling. Being able to work with and help refugees to empower themselves with information and obtain resources in general to lead a stable life outside of their country of origin is one of the highlights of her career.
Camila Rodriguez-Pineyro
PRS Intervention Specialist - Marlborough
Camila is bilingual, speaking Spanish and English. She graduated with her master‘s degree in social work in 2021 from Anna Maria College. She has experience in the mental health field, providing support to both children and families. Camila has always had a passion for supporting underserved people and seeing them thrive. Her favorite quote is “Pasos cortos vista larga,” which means “Short steps, long vision.”
Carlos Nunes
Wraparound Stabilization Therapist - Marlborough
Carlos provides Wraparound and Stabilization Services in Portuguese, Spanish, and English to clients in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. He provides case management in the context of a multi-disciplinary treatment that includes therapy and clinical support to refugee and/or immigrant adults in the post-Release program. He assists clients with a wide range of issues including trauma-related and other mental health concerns. Carlos provides human trafficking and/or outpatient screening as needed for clients where human trafficking, torture or any informed trauma are suspected.
Kathy Miranda Garcia
PRS Case Manager - Marlborough
Born in Puerto Rico, Kathy has a degree in child psychology and education. She previously worked as an educational coordinator in Montessori early education, supporting marginalized families. After Hurricane Maria, Kathy completed FEMA training and became a certified disaster case manager, helping families affected by the hurricane. She later covered an ORR emergency in San Antonio and El Paso, preparing documentation for unaccompanied minors who were reunified with family members or sponsors. At Bethany, she enjoys working together with her teammates to support families who are most in need. She enjoys playing mini golf, taking walks, and meditating in her free time.
Leandra Portillo
HR/PRS Lead Case Manager - Marlborough
Leandra has a B.A. in psychology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and has studied expressive art therapy at Lesley University. She loves to empower children and their families and enjoys seeing their progress after applying their strengths. Leandra is dedicated to supporting her colleagues and is passionate about promoting staff wellness, a key component in serving clients well.
